That popular expression, “Shoot for the stars?” Let’s clarify the route for that journey. At least on the ontological level, the study of reality.
Frequently people will commit to shoot for the stars and that’s to be applauded. They then drive their minds and bodies into the ground, even though the destination is in the opposite direction.
For example, you decide you want to make Partner, or make it to the C-suite, or reach some other goal.
Nothing wrong with that at all! And…if you reach the stars, the reaction often is, “Is that all there is?”
Or, extreme fatigue and mental and emotional burnout diminish the stars’ light which guides our way.
Reaching the stars actually starts with digging deep into your self to know the who, what , when, where and why of stars.
That inquiry takes time, and people understandably resist this part of the journey because they think they know enough and want their stars sooner than later.
But they may be Ill equipped to escape the ego’s gravitational pull.
You see, we need the enormous power only offered through knowing all who we really are: who we think we are is like driving a tricycle when spaceships are required, available only through the knowledge of what it means to be fully human.
By all means dream, look up and shoot for those stars.
Know they may be manifested, reached by dissolving the eclipse, clearing the storms, to ascend from the terrestrial to extraterrestrial.
Those stars will be far brighter.
